When Dr. Anthony Castellano is asked what he loves most about dentistry his face lights up. "It's the people," he says. "The relationships we build. Getting to know the patients, earning their trust and becoming someone they can rely on, not only to take care of their oral health but to be there when they need me. I love that I get to share in people's lives, whether it's whitening for a wedding or a full mouth rehab after an accident."
Dr. Castellano grew up just outside of Tampa, Florida. He came to Richmond almost 20 years ago with his wife Rosa where they both attended Virginia Commonwealth University. After graduating from dental school at VCU and having their first two children here in RVA, they decided to try life in the Green Mountains of Vermont where he became a partner in a large, progressive practice. It was there that they added 2 more children to their family. The six of them kept chickens, gardened, and hiked the beautiful mountains outside their doorstep.
But after many long winters, Dr. and Mrs. Castellano longed to be back in the city they had grown to love — back among friends, the art, culture and sports of Richmond, and yes, warmer weather. He is thrilled that Dr. Sterling has entrusted him to "take the reins" of Monument Family Dentistry and looks forward to serving the people of Richmond.

His practice is built on being of service: whether it's helping a patient look their best for a wedding or guiding them through a full mouth rehab after an accident, he is grateful for every moment of connection.
When he's not in the office you may find him mountain biking along the river or at Pocahontas State Park with his boys, running his girls back and forth to The School of Richmond Ballet, taking in the art with Rosa at the VMFA or ICA, grabbing a café con leche at Kuba Kuba or cheering on his favorite team at the Siegal Center...Go Rams!
